This is the second of a series of articles on Air Raid Precautions in Hongkong, which are to be published daily in the "Hongkong Telegraph". The series commenced on Saturday, and will continue throughout the week.

If air raids ever came to this Colony, every home should have a refuge specially prepared in which the whole household could take cover. Every shop and office, or other place of work or business, would require a place

those- similarly prepared for engaged on the premises.

Every householder, or head of a family or business, should learn now how to protect, in war-time, his own people and home from the effects of explosive bombs, Incendiary bombs, and poison gos.

This applies ehlefty to those who live In large centres of population. In more remate districts the dangers would no doubt be less though the need for prolection and precautions would still exist.

All the precautions recommended In this book ara useful. Most of them can be adopted to some extent by everyone. The essential things cost little to do, and some of the more elaborate ones you will find you can
