MESSAGE OF PEACE

Dr. Reichelt Speaks On Madras Conference

An interesting talk entitled "A Message of Peace from Madras" was given by Dr. K. L. Reichelt before members of the Peace Pledge Union at the Challenge Book Shop yester- day.

Dr. Relehelt described the Chris- tlan World Conference which Was held at Tambaram, near Madras, ini December when 470 delegates from 70 different countries were present.

There was only One resolution which

bore directly on the war, said Dr. Reichelt, and that was agreed to on Christmas day. He read out the from the Report of the

speaker then described the personalities who were prominent at the Conference. They were Dr. C. Z. Koo of China, who spoke on pro- blems connected with the Sing Japanese war; Dr. Kagawa of Japan, who spoke on the meaning of the Cross; and the Rev. C. F. Ambrose, well known missionary in India.

Mr. J. Russell, Chairman of the meeting, thanked the speaker, and reminded those present that the next meeting will be a visit to the Social Settlements in Kowloon next week.
