MANILA TO JOIN ANNUAL INTERPORT BASEBALL DEVELOPS A
SOCCER SERIES Relationship Placed
On Permanent Basis
Manila, May 6.
The football relation between Manila and Hongkong is now more or less permanent. At a meeting of the head officials of the Hongkong football-dologation and the PAAF football com- mittee at the Wack Wack Country Golf Club, Thursday, noon, it was tentatively agreed that overy year the Hongkong team plays in Manila during the month of February, while the Manila team will go to Hongkong during the month of April.

CHINESE MEET IN FINAL
*
The change is suggested in view of the difficulty of the Manilla players, who are mostly college and university students to secure leave of absence during the academic year for the purpose of playing in Hongkong, Al- though it is advantageous for Hong- kong to play in their home city during the Chinese new year's day in the latter part of January or early part of February, they were agree- able to change the date in accordance with the request of the P.A.A.F. foot- buli committee.

Sanchez, ranked No. 1 in the Philippines, was chosen as one of the team of two to represent his country, but at one time there was doubt as to who would fil the No. position. The choice lay between Leonardo Gavia and Ampon. The P.A.A.F. arranged a series of three trial matches for these two, and in the first one, Ampon won, Gavia, who had hurt his hand in this match, requested postponement of the second encourler and when he was unable to play last Saturday, the Philippines authorities chose Ampon to accompany Sanchez to the United States.
