In full view of dozens of passers-by, a daring attack was made on an unknown Chinese in Des Voeux Road Central at 9.40 o'clock this morning.

The victim of the attack is now in hospital. He was pleked up unconscious, a large bamboo. pole alongside him indicating the type of weapon that had been used. In the unconscious man's hand was a meat chopper.
