Durban Test Not Longest Match Played

They Did Much Better In South Sea Isles Back Around 1890

The unfinished 10-day match between England and South Africa brought the 1938-39 "test" sories to such a whimsical close at Durban has been universally described as the longest cricket game over played. But it isn't. They did much better than that in the South Sea Isles around 1890, when the natives would have regarded a 10-day game as being all over in a flash.
