His many friends in Hongkong will regret to learn of the death of Mr. Brian Lander Lewis in

on April 20. Mr. Lewis is survived by his widow and two-year-old son. Mr. Andrew Augustus Brady, 62,

died here to-day after a long and painful illness.

Mr. Bendy was a native of Bally- connell, County Gavan, Ireland, and ran away from home to go to sea at the age of 15. He landed in Shang- hai in 1901 where he worked for the Shanghai Dock and Engineering

Company and the Secony-Vacuum Oil Company, later becoming un auctioneer. He joined the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 1910 and was twice elected Chairman of that body. A wife and brother survive. United Press.
