THE LONDONERS

FIFTY YEARS AGO the London County Council was born. To celebrate a jubilee unique în municipal history the L.C.C. was presented with a documentary film of London's history, "The Londoners".

Made by the Realist Film Unit, it tells vividly the story of London's mighty growth from squalor and chaos and misery to ́order and health and controlled progress.

It is London's story, produced by a Londoner, 24-year-old John Taylor, and featuring the Londonor. Thoro stills from

the film show a century of London's history.
