Dramatic Indictments In Philippines Railway Bonds Alleged Fraud

NEW YORK, Apr. 25.

IT IS authoritatively stated that the Government intends to sock the trial of William P. Bucknor, jr., Felipe Buencamino and the co-defendants in the alleged mail frauds in connection with Philippino Railway Bonds, within three or four weeks, and that the prosecution intends to introduce movie stars as witnesses.

A 16-page indictment in addition to Jose Bonto, chairman of the railway committee of the Philippine Assembly, names as confederates George Breen, a well- known market operator, Noel C. Scaffa, a private detective, George Shein and Joseph Cohen of New York, formerly representing the bond holders on the committee, Francis Hock, a British broker, George Hall, a broker, and James W. Liddle, described as a personal friend of Buckner's.

Government officials privately estimated that Buckner and the other co-defendants received as much as $50,000 from the so- called victim, and they also es- timated that the public lost as result
