THE BRUTAL killing of a man in a public thoroughfare in broad daylight was told at the Criminal Sessions this morning, when Leung Chi, 31, and Tsoi On-chai, 25, were tried before the Chief Justice, Sir Atholl MacGregor, with the murder of Wong King-cheung at Yaumati on March 4.

Twenty Refugee Children Suffer Food Poisoning
ANOTHER case of mass food-poisoning, although happily with not the same serious results, occurred in Hongkong yesterday. This time the victims were 20 refuges children housed in the old Govern- meat Civil HospĦal building.
They were rushed to the Queen Mary Hospital after eating a meal together and it was found they were suffering from food poisoning.
However, it was found possible to allow 18 of the victims to return to their home, and only two were detained. The children Included 14 boys and six girls.
