Because a 38-year-old Irish Jesuit novice is shortly to take his vow of collbacy a young polo-playing officer in the British Army will becomo rightful claimant to the native Irish throne.

He may one day exercise his ancestral privilege of carrying the old Standard of Ireland at the coronation of English Kings.

The officer is 28-years-old Lieutenant Denis Armar O'Conor, of the Lincolnshire Regiment. His home is at Duxhill-road, Weymouth, and he is prospective heir to Ireland's most coveted native title--O’Conor Don, meaning "lord or chief king."

Present holder of the title is 60-year-old Owen Phellm O'Conor, of Clonalis, Co. Roscommon, on whose estate are pre- served the historic old Standard of Ireland and the ancient Harp of Carolan, last of the Irish Bards.
