Chief Justice Discourses On Freedom In English Law

Sir Athull MacGregor, Chief Justice of Hongkong, was the speaker an "Freedom in English Law" before a large gathering. of University students at St. John's Hall last night.

Sir Atholl spoke on English law dating back to the Twelth Century, and also dwelt on the freedom of person and property, freedom of speech, discussion, meeting, and the Press.

The speaker was introduced by Mr. George She, who in a few appropriate words said 'that St. John's Hall counted it à great honour to have Sir Atholl to speak to them.

Among those present were Mr. D. J. Sloss, Vice-Chancellor of the University; Rev. R. O. Hall, Bishop of Hongkong; Father G. T. Byrne, Father G. Casey, Host. Mr. and Mrs MK Lo, Professor W. Brown, and Professor Robertson.
