European Charged With Negligent Driving

Evidence for tho defence was called before Mr. R. Edwards at the Central Magistracy yesterday, follow- Ing the Magişirate's ruling that A. G. Hargreave, of Imperial Chemical In- duntries (Chino) Ltd., bed a case to answer relating to charges of driving a car while under the influence of Ilquor, and driving without due care and caution.

Defendant is alleged to have driven his car along Bonham Road at 1.20 pm, on February 22 while under the fluence of liquor, and to have swerved when near King's College, after having been on the wrong side of the road, so an to collide with a notor cycle driven by Woo Komm-tal Truffle Inspector S. C. Saunders prosecuted, and Mr. F. G. Nigel re- presented Hargreave. Mr. Alfred Y. Hon held a watching brief for Woo,
