On March 4 the Queen attended the "Festival of Light" at the Albert Hall, a festival of the Toc H League of Women Helpers. Her Majesty is soon lighting tapars from the original Toc H lamp of the then Prince of Wales. From those tapors the Tapor-Bearers light other lamps and rushlights. The League of Women Helpers was founded in 1922, and has a British membership of 7,000.

Falls From Cliff

The holiday camp of the 4th. Kow- loon Troops (Garrison) Boy Scouts at Cheungchau over the Easter holi- days ended tragically yesterday when their Scoutmaster, L/Cpl. H.

The accident occurred about 8,30 a.m. when, in scaling the ellff, L/Cħl, Thorne slipped and foll backwards. Assistance

The Comp was scheduled for seven days, ending to-morrow, but it was broken yesterday, and the Troop and Mr. Wade, Assistant Scoutmaster, re- turned to Hongkong at 5. p.m.

Mr. Thorne was 23 years of age. and had been interested in Scouting for several years. Since his arrival In the Colony 18 months ago, he had been Scoutmaster of the 4th. Kow- loon Troop.
