"THE STRANGE DEATH OF ADOLF HITLER" Poisoned On Eve Of Munich, Says American Book

"THE Strange Death of Adolf Hitler,”

a book in which it is asserted that the Fuehrer is dead and that his double, Maximilian Bauer, rules in his place by arrangement with the Nazi chiefs, is startling America.

The book has been published by the long-established New York concern, the- Macaulay Company, which asserts that the facts as set out in the book come from an "unimpeachable source."

The vital fact, according to the book, is that Hitler was assassinated on September 29, 1938, at 2.15 a.m. the night before the Munich Agreement.

Bauer himself is made to tell the actual story of the assassination.

He alleges that poison was put in an ome- lette which the Fuehrer ate at a 'dinner attended by Goering, Goebbels, Von Ribbentrop, Hess, and Bauer himself. Hitler, he says, died with- in a few minutes.

After a dramatic discussion, the heads of the Nazi State agreed that Bauer should take the dead man's place at the Munich conference, having sworn that he would never reveal the -impersonation or the death to the world.
