Questions word recently asked in the British House of Commons about the Empire air routes being utilised for the transport of childron who come to school in England from homos in other parts of the Empire.
Almost at the same time Imperial Airways announced that following the success of their experiments last year special arrangements are being made this summer for the benefit of overseas school- children.
Reduced fares, free baggage allowance, special attention to their physical needs both in the air and at night stops, are also cncouraging more and more overseas parents to adopt this method of travel, which en- ables them to bring their child- ran home for the holdidays at least once a year instead of, as in the old days, only once in every four years.
Aviation, as the years go by. is playing an ever-increasing part in the lives of the rising generation,
The above pic- ture shows D group of 34 youngsters from Marlborough House School, Hawkhurst, | Kent-boarding- Imperial-Air- ways' Heracles at Craydon for a flight over the city.
Mr. R. A. Harrison, head- master of the school believes that every pupil who passes through his hands should have an opportunity of expériencing the latest method of transport.
