Big Liners Collide In Dense Fog 130 Miles From Hongkong

IN DENSE FOG 130 miles north of Hongkong the now 16,000-ton P. & O. liner Canton and the 13,000-ton Mossageries Maritimes liner Marechal Joffre came into collision shortly after nine o'clock this morning.

The P. & O. liner, which was launched last year and made its' maiden trip to Hongkong in November, is reported to bu making water slightly amid- ships.

No estimate of the damage to the French liner has been received.
