The Admiralty recently re- leased this drawing of the Navy's £7,500,000 battleship King George V., which was launched by the King at Walker-on-Tyne. The drawing, by naval artist Oscar Parkes, shows details that will make the completed vessel unique among the world's war- ships.
She will be the first British battleship to mount four big guns in one turret. More, she has new forms of protection against gun, forpado, and air attack that will make her the Navy's safest ship. SHE LOOKED LIKE THIS- Workmen, sailor boys and a huge crowd watching the King George- V. slide down the slipway into the Tyne.
