Women Prisoners Will Have Country Camp

That is the Prison Commissioners' new scheme for modernising prison Hic.
Negotiations are now being com- pleted for a 250-acres site at Star- well, Middlesex, which will form a new kind of "correelive cump" rather than pelson for 450 women and a new Borstal for 150 girls from Aylesbury,
The "Borstal" will be run largely on existing Lines, but the women's part of the new culony will be o bold experiment in providing more freedom, a more "homelike" atmos- phere, and generally more humane treatment.
