The spring dress shows started in Paris recently. Here are eye-witness glimpses of the new fashions-- new lines, new colours, new stuffs as they appear in each designer's collection.

Two Silhouettes

So far, the evening silhouette seems sharp- ly divided into two, the ingenuous and the sophisticated; the billowing and the pencil- tight. Here is one of the second sort, A sheath skirt of black crepe is topped by a draped bodice of nasturtiuni red caught in at the waist by a wide black belt. A panel of red flies out from under the belt, is bar- red across the bottom by a band of black.
