SPOKE TO TEN JURORS ABOUT HIS CASE

A LITIGANT who admitted that after a case was over he talked to every member of the jury except two was rebuked in the Court of Appeal.

The court dismissed an appeal in person by Mr. Lawrence William Worden, of Lammack-road, Blackburn, who suggested that £5 awarded to him in his action at Manchester Assizes against the Midland Bank was inadequate.

Mr. Worden alleged that the bank had committed a breach of contract and libelled him by sending back a cheque which he drew for £2 16s. 3d., endorsed "refer to drawer."

New Arms Seen By The King

Some of the ceret armaments which are being developed for the EDMC Royal Air Force and for branches of the Army were seen by the King recently in the course of n visit of two hours' duration paid by his Majesty to the experimental and development works of Nash and at Tolworth, Thompson, Limited.
