CLIPPER DUE TO-DAY

All preparations have been com- pleted by the Superintendent of Kai Tak airport, Mr. A. J. R. Moss, for the handling of the Boeing Clipper, the world's largest place, which is expected to arrive here between 11 n.. and 11.30 am. to-day.

The Clipper left Guam at 4.30′ n,m. Hongkong timo yesterday, and com- pleted the 1,700 miles journey to Manila in 04 houre at an average speed

of 175 miles an hour, a record for the crossing. The plane landed at Manila at 2 pm.

The plane is bringing a crew of twelve, and twelve technical experts are aboard studying the progress of the fight.
