Here is the scene at San Diego, Cal, as 48 slant patrol bombers prepared to take off for the 3,000-mile hop to the Panama Canal, in the greatɛsi mased flight in history of the United States Navy. The planes arrived, at Coco Solo, all but three making the hop non-stop,

Knowlden, Mayoress of Kingston-on-Thames. Altogether forty-five new Warships are to be launched from British yards this year, their total displacement being in excess of 365,000 tons.
