A woman called at complainant's house on the afternoon of the day in question, and said that she had come for the money on behalf of Liu Tak elroy, and as proof showed him half of a receipt which tallied with the other half that was sent in the letter lo complainant.
So Kung-Jeung said that he had not yet received the letter from Macno and asked the woman to send List Tak-choy for the money, On the evening of the following day, defen- dant called at complainant's house and saki that he was Liu Tak-choy. He said that he had called for the money. So Kung-leung telephoned for the police, and defendant was arrested,
