RED-INK BONDS FOR JAPAN'S WAR COSTS

TOKYO, Feb. 15.

The Finance Ministry announced that the Government was shortly lasuing 100,000,000 yen in bonds in connection with the China Incident and another 100,000,000 yen in bonds to cover the deficit in the Revenue.

The China Incident bonds will bo underwritten by the Bank of Japan, while the deficit covering bonds will be undertaken by the Postal Savings Bank. Bearing 3.5 per cent, interest, the new bonds will be redeemed In 17 years.

Part of the bonds under- written by the lank of Japan will be offered for public subscription through post offices throughout the country.
