Five Chinese On Trial

For Possession

The armed robbery of a junk in Chinese waters on January 25, had a sequel at the Criminal Sessions yesterday when five Chinese were charged with passession of stolen property, before the Chief Justice, Sir Atholl MacGregor.

Accused were Hut Kan-ho. Hui Cho, Hui Kau, Ni Ching-fuk and Toi Chik-shui, and the charge against them was possession of 320 rattles of pewter, 150 cutties of rice, 10 cutties of ground nuts, two fell hats and several pieces of clothing, knowing them to have been stolen outside the Colony.
