THE UTILITY companies lost the Tennessee Valley Authority case in the Supreme Court to- day, when the Court refused to enjoin the generation and sale of electricity of the Tennessee Valley Authority in competition with 16 private power companies operating around the Tennessee Valley.

The Court held that the utility companies have "no standing to maintain sult."
