THE development of synthetic resin materials for use in aircraft construction, which has been in progress for several years, has lately entered on a new phase through the substitution of linen fibres for cotton fibres as the agent for raising the tensile strength of the synthetic resin. Dr. N. A. de Bruyne, who has been in charge of the dovelopment work of Acro Research, Limited, gave & lecture on the subject recently to the Woybridge branch of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
