The programme for the Annual Race Meeting to be held on February 25, 27, 28 and March 1 and 4, under the auspices of the Hongkong Jockey Club has been issued, but owing to the exigency of space, the publication of the lengthy list of events is not possible in my racing notes. There are the usual twelve races on the first four days and nine on the last day--the same number as last year.

CHOA'S FINE EFFORT The match between George Choa, of Hongkong, and Vung, of Cochin- China, resulted in n base-line duel in which the more experienced Vung had the better of the exchanges. Vung took the first two sets at 6-2, G-1 with deep base-line drives.

In the third set, Chon drove well on both hands, forcing Vung into numerous errors and, after lending 21-1, took the set at 0-1. It was u good performance on the Hongkong player's part to take a set from such a fine player as Vung.

After a ten minutes rest, the 1 players took the court for the fourth set, which proved to be the last.
