ex-public schoolboy, of Albury, near Guildford, stole jewellery and articles worth £6,969 from railway-com- partments between January and October.
Recently at the Old Bailey he pleaded guilty to thefts of articles worth £4,238, and was sentenced to 12 months' imprisonment.
He asked for a number of other offences to be taken into con- sideration, and it was stated that the total value of the stolen property was £6,069.
