STRANGE FATE OF BRIDESMAID WILL NEVER BE SOLVED

T the hour fixed for her brother's wediting, at which she was to have been a bridesmaid. Doris Bmlih, IAHIMIalo domestic servant, of House, Shenstone, near Lichfield, was barled recently, after an inquest had revealed that death came lo her in a strange, unfathomable manner,

Doria was 20 and apparently in ro- bust health. She was herself to have been married in the New Year at the church where she was buried.

The inquest on her was held in the smake-room of the village hotel.

Evidence was given that after clos- ing some windows at the house where ahe was employed she complained of a pain at the back of her neck.

WALKED HOME

She walked home unaided, went lo bed, and died almost Immediately.

Dr. R. E. Johnson, of Lichfield, said he had searched text books, but could and no evidence of a similar case.

A post-mortem examination led to the conclusion that death was due to paralysis of the henri, caused by pres- zure on the spinal cord following a dislocation of the spine.

The doctor salt there was no exter- nal sign of injury, and the coroner observed that he did not think It! would ever be known how the acci- dent was caused. Accidental Death was his verdict,
