Pleads Ignorance

A woman, Chau Hing, 31, described as a prostitute, was charged before Mr. R. A. D. Forrest at the Centra! Magistracy yesterday with soliciting for an immoral purpose at Fedder Street on Saturday. She admitted -the offence, but claimed she did not know that I was forbidden.

Sub-Inspector R. McEwen sakl the woman was known to the police as one of the "regulars" who habitually frequented Pedder Street, and she had been warned at least a dozen times to keep away.
