First Test Match Against M.C.C.
Viljoen, Dalton, Langton Pull The Game Round
The South Africans made a splendid recovery in the First Test match against the M.C.C. at Johannesburg, and at the end of the first innings were only 32 runs behind the tourists. A century by E. L. Dalton and a hard-hit 64 by A. B. C. Langton towards the end of the innings enabled the South Africans to reach 390 in answer to the M.C.C. total of 422,
