family.. How old Crokey was when first acquired is un- known, so the parrot's actual age might be anything from 135 years upwards.

Now Crokey has become a television star, had her name changed to Sarah, is called "she" instead of "he," and has been accepted as a permanent and pampered resident of the Zoo's parrot house.

Crokey's Christmas present will be a visit from his former master, Mr. C. R. Urwin.

"I haven't yet had time to go and see Crokey since he was taken to the Zoo," Mr. Urwin said. "I can't get used to calling hini Sarah, I'm afraid. We took Crokey to the Zoo because I didn't want him destroyed, and had nowhere to keep him when my wife and my father went to Wales during the crisis.

"Besides, Crokey is getting on, and I thought the Zoo would be able to take better care of him. I didn't expect, however, that they would change him into a ‘her." FRIENDS MISS HIM
