"OLD CROCK' DRIVERS WITH UMBRELLAS

SPLUTTERING their way bravely through torrential rain and a strong wind, all but 12 of the 105 starters finished the courne' to time in the "old crocks" London-Brighton run recently.

One was found in a field with a tree growing through it. The tree had to be cut down before the car could be removed.

Louisville, Ky. Misa Perry Hennings reported to police that she struck a woman with her automobile but could not find the "victim" when she stopped a few feet away. She said a man who witnessed the accident told her to drive on- that the woman was a friend of his who didn't want any publicity.
