ELAINE WAALER, aged six months, of Copenhagen, is running up a record for sea travel.

When Elaine was a month old she and her mother were taken aboard the Danish freighter Hoegh Silverstar by her father, Skipper E. It. Waaler.

Elaine is shown above with her father. She has crossed the Atlantic four times, visited the United States and South America, and recently came to Hongkong and Manliu.

A BRILLIANT SOCIETY WEDDING will be solemnised at St. John's Cathedral this afternoon when Miss Phoebe Anne Dodwell will become the bride of Mr. Oliver Egerton *Christo. pher Marton.

A wedding of interest to Can- ton residents took place this morning at St. John's Cathedral, when Miss Brunhilde Slater Rolfe became the bride of Mr. Leonard Arthur Scopes, The Rev. Cyril Brown officiated at the ceremony.

The bride, who is well-known and popular in locul society circles, is the eldest daughter of the Hon. Mr. S, H. Dodwell and Mrs. Doglwell, of 301, The Peak, Hongkong," and of Woking, Surrey.

The bridegroom is the son of Lieut. Col. R. O. Martin, C.M.G. 1.4.0., late of the Royal Artillery. and Mrs. Marten, of New Romney, Kent.
