Keen interest is bei: shown by political observers In Mr. Chamber- lain's speech to-morrow.
It is generally expected, says Reuter's diplomatic correspondent, that the Prime Minister will make
important pronouncement on British foreign policy. He is expect- ed to speak for 40 minutes from 9,40 p.m. G.M.T., and the specch will be broadens throughout the Empire, and relayed to the United States and Italy.
Particular Interest is attached the address in view of Mr. Chamber- lain's impending visit to Rome.

The President of the Lithuanian Republic, M. Antanas Smetona, who was re-elected on November 14 this post which he has occupied ever since the creation of the Lithuanjan State in 1918, was solemnly sworn in by the Catholle Archbishop of Knunas to-day, and took the onth of office in the presence of all members of the Government, Deputies, com manding officers of the army. and members of the Diplomatie Corps.
On this occasion President Smetona delivered a speech in which he out- lined the future polley of Lithuania. The President observed that small countries, in
