A resolute innings by G. Gosano, and a somewhat speculative, though enterprising knock by R. Soares, who between them added 67 for the seventh wicket, not only pulled Club de Recreio juniors out of queer street in their friendly cricket match against the K.C.C., at Cox's Road on Saturday, but with J. Gosano, another school boy member of the huge family of cricketers, bowling effectively late in the game, the visitors all but pulled off victory, the K.C.C. laving the worst of a draw, with scores of 169 for 7 declared against 107 for 8.

Azunas won the Illingworth Cup race, which started from The Royal Hongkong Yacht Club on Saturday evening at 6 p.m. The course was: Cheung Chau (port) Lingting Island (port) Waglan (port) and Hongkong (starboard) with finish at the Yacht Club.
