AN elementary knowledge of cook-

ing tells us that the basis of all well-made cakes is butler, sugar, flour, and eggs.

When these ingredients which form the cake have become stale and dry it can be reduced to crumbs, and with the addition of something to molsten and re-bind, they can be used in many ways,
