Bprinkle a pie-dish with bread- crumbs, then with grated cheese and again with more breadcrumbs, add the cucumber and onion, then pour over the white sauce.

Tasty Fry

Another quickly prepared savoury is made with cucumber.

Fry a sliced cucumber and onion in dripping until nicely browned, then drain and pass through a sleve. Put the mixture inte a anucepan, add a knob of margarine, call to
