Another quickly prepared savoury is made with cucumber.

Fry a sliced cucumber and onion in dripping until nicely browned, then drain and pass through a sleve. Put the mixture inte a anucepan, add a knob of margarine, call to

Cucumber Mayonnaise

A light sprinkling of salt and pepper and a drop or two of saind cream are well worth adding to give them the finishing touch.
