One of the most impressive fantral processions held in Shanghai for many years took place recently when the coffin of the late Superintendent Loh Lich-kwel, of the Shanghai Municipat Police, who was murder- ́ed, was taken from the parlours of the International Fanerul Directors, where it was enconfinned at the Pingkang Guild to Ile there pending funeral arrangements, Top picture shows the corlege moving through the streets surrounded by mourners. Middle picture shows the Commissioner of Police, Major K. M. Bourne, marching in the procession with Deputy Commissioners B. C. Young and Captain II. M. Smythe, Bottom picture gives an idea of the enormous crowds which Hned the route to pay homage.
