New York, Aug. 22. S. C. & F. Dow Jones summary of yesterday's markets:
Business news to-day was favour- able, but traders are disposed to await broader Improvemeris, especially after Labour Day. The estimates steel magazine Steet operations at 41% of capacity, while the Iron & Steel Institute schedules operations at 42.0%. Lumber output is the best thur far for the year. We anticipate sub
hereased operations in con-
goods. Unfavourable factors include the uncertainty of crude-oil prices, worry over the forthcoming monopoly investigation and the failure of retail advertising accelerate.
