GOVERNMENT PLANS HUT CAMPS FOR DESTITUTES HERE
A reproduction of the military camp at Shamshuipo is likely to be made on the new refugee sites at Danger Hill and Ma Tau Chung as soon as tenders, for which the Government is now calling, are placed.
The Telegraph was informed this morning that all haste is being made for the construction of the refugee camps, and that clearing and structural work will be started immediately the tenders have been awarded. It is believed the refugees will be housed in wooden huts similar to those built at the Shanshuipo military camp.
