OST of the frocks I have sech this 901704 have short sleeves, and
I, for one, am glad be- when the weather is warm most women like to feel their arms free.
But short sleeves are some- times unkind to matrons with plump arms, and to solve this difficulty I am giving you this weck something entirely new- a two-way sleeve.
When at home your sleeves are loose and comfortable, but when you wish to saunter down to the shops you just add long fitting cuffs as shown in the smaller sketch on the extreme left.
These have an elastic round the top to keep them in posl-
tion. Such a useful addition as you can go out quite happily without a coat on sunny days.
Both the designs shown Cada be adapted to procleally any type of figure by means of the long the encis coming from vueh side.
I get many inquiries for large Atting frocks without a V neck, and the bodice of this dress has been specially designed to give a fashionable, yet becoming, throat He to the matron
Taffeta, organdle or pique are the most practical materials for the fan shaped ends threaded through the bodice, as they stand up fresh and crisply.
By using two or three different sandes you can give a different colour note to your dress.

Just a word on summer hats for the matrons. Large brimmed styles are not only becoming when you to out without a cont, but they give an important look to your outfit.
If, however, you prefer smaller shopes, choose one with a veil trim- ning, it gives a soft look to the eyes and an added attractiveness to your entire outft.
Meanwhile, just a final word for the home dressmaker. Carefully consider your colouring and the hats and cont you will wear with your frock, before chocaing the material.
For instance, soft, silky materials. In the good art silks now being sald in most shops, can be bad in many Inshionable colours, and you should chouse one that will not clash with other items in your wardrobe.
