New York, July 12. Howard Hughes has reached, the half-way mark in his 13,000-mile flight around the world in less than two days.
Hurtling across Europe and Siberia, he reached Omsk, on the trans-Siberian line, at 9 p.m. Moscow time (1 a.m. this morning Hongkong Time), and almost immediately departed again for Irkutsk.
The total elapsed time from New York to Omsk, via 'Paris and Moscow, was 35 hours, 11 minutes.
