Playing an important rate in shaping the policy of Czecho- slovakin, during the parleys in Prague to compromise differences between the Czech government and the Sudeten Germans, was Forcign Minister Kamil Krofta. above. With war apparently imminent between Germany and Czechoslovakia, Dr. Krofta issued an apology to the German minister at Prague, after Czech soldiers were alleged to have tried to blow up a bridge near Mistelbach, on the border.
Women Mob Priest After £65 Car Fine
Women mobbed Father Joseph Anthony Henry, slight, bespectacled, thirty-five-year old priest of the Roman Cathille Church of Our Lady. Blackheath, S.E., as he walked out of Brighion Quarter Sessions Court re- cently after a charge against him of driving under the influence of drinkt had been withdrawn.
For twenty minutes Father Henry could not escape from the crowd of his ex-parishioners he was former- ly assistant priest at St. John the Baptist's Church, Brighton.
They grasped his hands; patted
him on the shoulder. An elderly man bent down and kissed the priest's

Father Henty, wearing his clericul clothes, had stood in the dock of the court for only five minutes.
The drink charge was withdrawn after he had pleaded guilty to dan- gerous driving.
