Few changes have been noted in the war situation in south Shansi. Following the recapture of several strategic points around Wenal, south- west of Sinklang, the Chinese are still pressing the Japanese in the city.

Meanwhile, on the Linfen-Lingshih Rector, the Chinese troops, assisted by guerillas, are steadily pushing to wards the Tatung-Puchow Railway in an attempt to cut the line.
