A report that the .I. liner. Tilawa, well known in Hongkong, was pirated when about 200 miles north-west of Singapore, appeared in a recent issue of the Straits Times.

However, after a British destroyer and a flying-bont had been despatch- ed to the rescue from Singapore, the report was found to be false, and the muvod vessel and flying-tont were recalled.
