Dictator regimes, Mussolini's war talk, and Nazi per- secution of Christians and Jews were condemned at the National Free Church Council Assembly last month.

Dr. J. D. Jones, the president, moving a resolution (unanimously carried) calling for religious freedom, said: "Suppression of religious freedom is making it difficult, if not impossible, to enter into amicable relations with Nazi Ger- many and Fascist Italy.

"I find it difficult to enter into friendly relationship with a man like Mussolini, who broke his pledged word and committed outrages in Abyssinia, and who, by employing Italian troops, is prolonging the agony in Spain.
