Nine Die In Crash On Apostle of Hongkong.

Saugus, California, May 18. A rancher named Nels Peter- son has found the wreckage of the missing Lockheed transport plane which, with nine persons aboard, disappeared in a thick fog en route from Los Angeles to St. Paul, Minnesota.

The wreckage of the machine which was to have been delivered to North-West Air Lines Inc., was found on the slopes of stony and rugged Mt. Mint Canyon, twenty miles north of here.

The machine caught aflre when it crashed into the mountain-side, and the nine occupants were all dead.- United Press.

STATE AID FOR CIVIL FLYING

London, May 10.

On the occasion of introduction of the bill for financial support of civil aviation, Sir Kingsley Wood made his first speech In the House of Com- mos os new Air, Minister yesterday. This bill, which was recommended as result of the Cadman Committee Report on the civil aviation, envisages the increase of State contributions from £1,500,000 to £9,000,000 yearly na maximum. The Ministor de- clared that this increase was necessary since civil flying. In all the other countries was now state supported.
