the Europcar Y.M.C.A. Swimming Scellon held yesterday evening, when it was waterpolo decided Lo commence
practice to-morrow, evening, from 6.10 p.m. onwards.
An optimistic note was struck when it was stated that there were through- hopes of running a team .cut the suMMET months providing the necessary suport from members was. forthcoming.
It was decided to open the swim- ming season with a gala-social, the idea being to invite all members to swim, participate in handicap events, and enjoy cabaret turns, the whole programme taking part in the swim- ming pool-truly u novelty.
FOR JUNE
It is hoped that this gain-social will be held in the first week in June und that a friendly waterpolo game will be arranged to conclude the programme.
A meeting of the Swimming Com- mittee to discuss further details, will be held within the next few days.

The Diocesan Boys' School played La Salle College at baseball on the D.B.S. ground yesterday and won by ten runs to six. R. S. Turner, the D.BS. captain, hit a home run with. A return match two men on bases. will be arranged shortly.
